Danville’s volleyball team secured a 3-1 victory over Cardington on Tuesday night, demonstrating teamwork, precision serving, and strong overall play to dominate at home.
According to the match report, star Kenzi Staats led the way by delivering 32 aces, breaking her own school record. Zoey Neitzelt contributed with 11 kills and three blocks, while Kayley Sheldon and Taylor Miller each added five aces. The team collectively finished with 40 kills, 18 aces, 37 assists, and 36 digs, highlighting the Blue Devils’ balanced attack.
Head coach Morgan Spitler attributed the win to the depth of her roster. “Winning isn’t about one standout player, or even just the six on the court—it’s about all 12 on our roster,” Spitler said. She emphasized that “every player brings value” and expressed confidence in making bold substitutions because she trusts every member of the team. Spitler added that when all players are engaged, they play as a united team, which is key to their success.
The victory continues Danville’s strong early-season performance, underscoring teamwork and collaboration on the court.
