The Blue Devils secured a decisive 59-8 victory over the Irish in Friday night’s Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Region 27 playoff match. Danville’s performance on both offense and defense allowed them to advance confidently to the next round of the Ohio high school football postseason.
The playoff meeting occurred on November 7 in Lancaster, Ohio, as part of the 2025 OHSAA High School Football Playoff Brackets – Region 27 tournament.
According to reports, the Blue Devils’ offensive unit demonstrated versatility by combining strong rushing performances with efficient passing execution. Defensively, Danville’s front line and secondary effectively stifled the Irish attack, limiting Fisher Catholic’s scoring to a single touchdown while forcing multiple turnovers.
With this victory, Danville will face Waterford High School in a neutral-site playoff game on Friday, November 14. The team holds an overall record of 7-5.
