The Danville Blue Devils emerged victorious against Loudonville with a 34-28 win in a significant conference game on Friday night.
According to the match report, Danville, now holding a 4-2 record, began the game strongly by scoring 14 points in the first quarter. This early lead was propelled by impressive performances from junior Cyren Wallace and freshman quarterback Parker Proper. Despite Loudonville’s comeback in the second and third quarters, Danville managed to regain control with 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to secure their victory.
Wallace played a crucial role, rushing 14 times for 136 yards and scoring a touchdown while also contributing 15 receiving yards. Proper showed remarkable composure for his age, completing 11 of 21 passes for 163 yards and one touchdown. He additionally rushed for 77 yards, accumulating a total of 240 offensive yards. Sophomore receiver Aidan Mickley added three catches for 55 yards and made a notable 23-yard run, while junior Justice Tharp contributed with two receptions totaling 47 yards.
